Join Justin for another Meet-and-Greet Thursday in Ailesbury Park!
Thank you to everyone who joined Justin and his friends Senator Erin Maye Quade and State Representative John Huot in Ailesbury Park yesterday evening, and who contributed to a wonderful conversation about the issues that are important to Rosemount!
"[O]ne thing I hope people take from these events," Justin later posted on social media, "is seeing my passion for Rosemount. I may get fired up when I talk about what I'm against, but I light up when I talk about what I'm for. I'm for accessible city government. I'm for affordable housing. I'm for a thriving local economy and small, homegrown businesses. I'm for fire safety and education. I'm for Rosemount and the people who make it the wonderful city it is."
Early voting continues Friday until 4:30 p.m., Saturday AND Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Monday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Rosemount City Hall. Cast your ballot early or on Election Day, and make sure to vote Justin Buehler-Hoard for Rosemount City Council!
S'mores in Meadows Park!
Justin chatted with voters about the issues that are important to them during a meet-and-greet in Meadows Park. Voters had the opportunity to learn more about his vision for Rosemount, ask questions, and enjoy some snacks and cider while doing crafts together.
"The best way to reach the community," Justin later said, "is by going out into it, not by sitting in City Hall waiting for it to come to you."
Meeting Voters and Celebrating Rosemount's First Responders
On Saturday, Justin attended Oktoberfest in Central Park. While enjoying sampling drinks from North 20 Brewing and Omni Brewing, he chatted with voters about the issues they care most about and shared his backstory. "Events like Oktoberfest bring our whole community together," he later reflected. "I'd love to see year-round community events which highlight the different cultures that make up our city through food, music, and fun."
On Sunday, Justin attended a fire safety open house hosted by City of Rosemount - Government at Fire Station #2. He spent time with members of Rosemount Police Department and Rosemount Fire Department to learn more about the tools they use and work they do to serve our community. In a Facebook post about the event, Justin shared his opinion of Rosemount's first responders: "They are absolute rock stars."
Discussing Big Tech with Sen. Erin Maye Quade and AG Keith Ellison
Last night, Justin's friend Senator Erin Maye Quade and Attorney General Keith Ellison hosted a town hall here in Rosemount to discuss their efforts at the state level to reign in Big Tech. Justin asked them about the importance of partnering with local governments and what cities can do to make a difference on these issues.
Afterwards, Justin spoke with a group of voters about the often overlooked role local governments can play in what are commonly thought of as state or federal issues. For example, if laws to protect the environment stall in the legislature, cities might step in to achieve those protections using zoning or land-use ordinances.

Justin participated in the League of Women Voters' candidate forum on Sept. 30 with fellow candidates for Rosemount City Council. In this wide-ranging conversation, candidates shared their views on Rosemount's diversity, data centers, taxes, and ICE activity within our city.
Among other topics, Justin emphasized his commitment to transparency and accountability, his desire to see more small businesses that reflect the diversity of our community, and his opposition to new data centers in Rosemount. He brought research, examples, and clear plans of action to show he is ready to represent you on Day One.

It was a busy week for Team Buehler-Hoard!
Team Buehler-Hoard was hard at work last week! In addition to knocking on doors and delivering free yard signs, Justin attended the Built-to-Play open house at City Hall to learn more about the project and ask questions about the financial impact on taxpayers. He also made time to volunteer at his church. Then it was study, study, study to prepare for the League of Women Voters forum coming up on Sept. 30!

Another weekend knocking on doors and delivering yard signs!
Last weekend, Justin was out again to knock on doors and share his vision for Rosemount. Asked what voters bring up most often, he reflects, "If there's one thing I've heard over and over from our neighbors, it's this: People don't want server farms and loud heavy industry, they want real farms and places to build memories with their loved ones, like restaurants and ice cream shops or retail boutiques and beauty parlors. People want community." That's exactly what this campaign is all about!

Justin is reaching out to voters everywhere.
On Aug. 20, the DFL in CD-2 hosted its annual picnic and invited Justin to address attendees. "One of the benefits of running for a nonpartisan seat is that I can reach out to voters no matter their party affiliation," he says. "This campaign is about values."
Justin addressed a crowd of approximately 120 people, sharing his commitment to working for the people of Rosemount, not big corporations or their lawyers, and to protecting our local environment and public health.
Did you see Justin in the Leprechaun Days parade?
On July 25, Justin marched with a team of volunteers in the Leprechaun Days Grand Day Parade, passing out candy and campaign flyers, and introducing himself to Rosemount voters (and showing off brand new yard signs).
"I loved seeing the community come together, everyone smiling and laughing together, and also seeing just how many young families call Rosemount home," he replied when asked about his favorite part of the parade. "But I really loved stopping to pet all the dogs!"
